The Taj Mahal during the Indo-Pakistani war

According to History TV, The Taj Mahal as covered with jute, a long, soft, shiny vegetable fiber during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971 to protect it from possible raids by Pakistani aircraft.

This wasn’t the first time the Taj Mahal was camouflaged. According to Wikipedia, in 1942 the white marble mausoleum also had protective covering.
